Get him an Elizabethan collar.  They sell them in all sizes, or maybe you can make one.  Call the pet store or look up on YouTube how to do it.  

You may also want to keep him in the dark a couple of hours extra, so he will sleep more.  

As long as he is right there with you, watch to see what kind of things he does that might get him hurt.  

Call a vet or a bird rescue group. Many rescue groups have tried and true ways to deal with things like this. We once had a baby dove with a cut on its very thin skin, and a bird rescue group suggested liquid bandage for the injury (super glue works too). This worked and the baby survived. BUT, only a vet can give you actual advice, and anything you do without a veterinarian's advice could result in loss of the bird or further injury. Birds can be quite fragile.
