Why does USA expect everyone to have roommates?

The main reason I'm so hesitant about

working is because no matter what

career at look at, it only pays half of

what I need to live on, which means

I need two, three, four roommates.

That is unacceptable, unless they

are spiritual-seekers like me. They

need to understand I'm trying to

teach myself a host of abilities

such as: teleportation, resurrection,

channeling angels and casting out demons.

Or, there must be somewhere I

can go and get a $500 studio apartment?
