Does it come out cheaper to order products and have them delivered to your home, as opposed to driving about?
a half-hour away to a retail store and purchase them that way? I'm wondering if this would actually be the case, especially if one tallies in the commute charges to get to a brick-and-mortar mall (gasoline, parking, etc..). Maybe, even with shipping charges, it ends up being less expensive to obtain your purchases being having them mailed to you. I'd appreciate your feedback.

yes and no, the companies that deliver can be already charging higher prices to offset their own delivery costs.

Prices are typically the same in store as they are online. Online you can do a quick search for discount codes and save a bit. That generally wouldn't happen in the store. I don't know the last time I paid a shipping charge, but assume you do which is list usually around $7. So figure out your gas mileage and what your local parking fees are to come up with your answer. It's rare that I end up paying parking anywhere I shop.

IF you don't have the wherewithal to compare online prices (plus shipping) and local store prices (a phone call). I find that with Amazon Prime I can usually order products that are cheaper than my local stores......but NOT everything - Amazon will rape you on some items if you are not careful.
