Why is it that people don't always die from strokes and heart attacks?

Severity or the stroke/heart attack
General health of the victim (age, weight, diet, etc)
Emergency medical care administered (prompt or delayed)
Skill of the health professionals in the hospital
Wealth of the individual
State of the art hospital care

Stroke = Lack of vitamin C
Heart attack = Many reasons I am not sure at the moment but Strophantin is the best medication.
