What is it like being a trauma PCU nurse? ?
Hi I am a new RN grad and I have an interview for PCU floor? It's really hard to find info on trauma PCU. The hospital is a level one trauma in a big city.
I know you get a lot of gun shots, stabbings, car accident, and falls.
But what type of heavy duty drugs you're giving?Are there moments where the patients codes? (How often)How sick are these patients?

I work mostly with kids (not many older teens) many of the kids coming out of PICU/NICU don’t go into PCU. The kids i see who come in with a serious trauma usually don’t make it.
