Is it strange that I don't have Chrome on my PC?

The only browser I use is Edge and it does the job for me. Is it strange in any way that I haven't downloaded let alone installed Chrome yet?

Chrome browser can sometimes be a lot faster than other browsers.

Depends on the sites you go to mostly.

I do not use chrome. I use Firefox and Brave browsers for the most part. With LOTS of extensions.

    Opera can be quite fast.

Is it strange that you prefer Edge?

That is totally up to you.  Many do not know they can do that.  I for one have been a Netscape user since it had less advertising and less bling than I.E.(so I am talking the early years on telephone lines and 14kbps speed(so downloads took hours or days to complete) Netscape Navigator seemed like a faster access to the W.W.W. as I was itching to type a question, not watch advertising which took even longer to completely download into my computer just to view.

All website browsers looked like newspapers front page, so you had to wait for all that to download before you could type in an inquiry.

.  There was no Google home page (and I use that because it is basically a white page of nothing.

. If you want to see what web pages looked like type in the search bar  Yahoo.com and you see this is what it is. This was the average web page.  It all has to enter your computer before you can type out.

    .  Speed matters.

Advertising is getting in the way now. As more are looking at your browsing history so they can stuff stuff you might want to buy in you face.   Like that door to door salesman.   I am not interested, so they are blocked out.

. Netscape Communicator had to rewrite their browser program so it is now called FireFox..  Still the basic look and the way it works is about the same. Which I like as I Learned it once.

. I.E. took a long time to change and before they changed they changed how it worked. I hate having to forget the old language and learn new terms.  So I never used BING nor do I use EDGE. any more than I have to and all I needed was to download a FireFox browser.  Then from there I could download any other browser I wanted.(I have 6 different browsers and each is good in its own area...and not so good in the other areas.

.  I found that FireFox was getting lousy with ads, and G.C. even worse especially when I watch YOU Tube videos.  Ad blocking was not doing it for me so I got a different browser which allows me to watch a video for 6 hours of YouTube without advertising.  Using FF or GC it would break for commercial like every 10 minutes or "sooner".  If I want to watch commercials, I turn on the TV.

. I can only imagine that Edge is just as bad for commercials.

That is the way I have experienced it. since Win98 up

Not at all.  I don't have it, either.  I use Firefox because I refuse to let Microsoft become Micromanagement on my computer.

garry, apparently you are the idiot.  The should-have-been-aborted OS called "Windows 10" runs whatever browser you use.  I use Firefox.

That's a weird question. Why would you download software you don't intend to use?

Not strange at all. You're just like most windows users. Those who know better aren't like you.

If edge works for you, no, not strange.  I have an android phone though, and I like that it integrates with Chrome on my PC.  I also use Firefox and Opera too though, both on PC and android.
