Are there really no snakes in Ireland???

Yes, there are no snakes. But that has more to do with the climate and isolation. It is a myth that St. Patrick drove them out. He was trying to convert the people to Christianity, and used symbols that were meaningful to them. One of those was the snake.

There are no snakes native to Ireland, but places like National Reptile Zoo https://www.nationalreptilezoo.ie/animal-encounter... and Dublin zoo https://www.dublinzoo.ie/ do have snakes.

Yes. The farther an island is from a continent, the less likely it is to have snakes all things being equal. Europe has several species, Britain has few, Ireland has none.
