Angelina, you're an IDIOT. Really, you are. Childhood vaccinations DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM. I am related to an Autism researcher, so I know what I am talking about. Current thinking is that Autism likely has more than one cause- in fact, it probably has MANY causes. The main ones are GENETIC, but in addition, one of the things that is being looked at right now is a possible relationship between older PATERNAL (meaning father's) age at conception and the subsequent development of Autism in the offspring. It has long been known that as men age, the quality of their sperm deteriorates, just as is the case with ova in women. What people are looking at now is whether or not there is a cause and effect relationship between older sperm and the eventual development of Autism in the child. If you want a simple but obvious example of this in action, take a look at Barron Trump, Donald Trump's youngest son. Barron is Autistic, and his dad, who is now in his 70's, would have been in his 60's when Barron was conceived. There's a huge difference in sperm quality from men in their 20's or 30's, and men in their 50's and above. It's possible that this difference could include altered DNA, which in turn could cause a rewiring of the brain circuitry that can lead to Autism.  It's not exact in every case, because there are other factors, such as environment, involved- but if a relationship between these two variables is established, it has huge implications for the diagnosis, treatment, and PREVENTION of Autism spectrum disorders.

Newborns do not have facial signs of Autism. That's pure BS. MOST babies go through a phase where they have "chipmunk cheeks". That's part of normal early childhood development. My niece is experiencing that right now, but she's perfectly normal. It doesn't mean she has or will develop Autism. And there are PLENTY OF Autistic adults around. I know, because I HAVE mild Autism myself. NO, my Autism WASN'T CAUSED by vaccines !  And there are MILLIONS of people just like me in both the US and the rest of the world. Some of them are famous, like Bill Gates, who co-founded Microsoft, and the late Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple. There's ample evidence that Donald Trump was at least mildly Autistic, too.

I used to work for a state agency that SERVES people with Autism and other developmental disabilities- and I would estimate that about one third of our consumer base was made up of Autistic ADULTS. I've been around them my entire LIFE. Autism is NOT a disease. People with ASD's AREN'T SICK, and we AREN'T BROKEN. If we get the right supports and help, we can lead very normal lives.

What you seem to be describing is downs syndrome. Autism is different. Down's syndrome is a genetic disorder.  Autism is brain damage with vaccines as a common culprit but can also be caused by other things (such as inbreeding or drugs during pregnancy)

Hi there, actual scientist and actual autistic person here. Vaccines have been proven to not cause autism, and autistic kids don't wear glasses any more than non-autistic kids. 

There are older people with autism, *you* just don't see them. Firstly, autism has been underdiagnosed in the past. We are improving our ability to detect and diagnose, so naturally there are more diagnoses today. There is no "autism epidemic". I am an autistic adult, I know many adults with mild autism, and I know a handful of adults with severe autism. And I'm not part of any autism-related groups or anything, these are just people I have happened to meet in my life. The majority of cases are mild (like myself) and you would never be able to tell they are autistic because (a) many autistic people learn to mask their autistic behaviors, and (b) you are uneducated...

In fact, you don't even know the difference between autism and Down syndrome. You are describing the physical features Down syndrome. There is no way to tell if a child is autistic based on their physical appearance. Down syndrome is a genetic disorder. Vaccines cannot change your chromosomes. Before you call anyone an idiot, make sure you're talking about the right disorder. Google is free.

And what's the issue with being autistic? Even if autism were on the rise, why do you care? Autistic children are not a burden. It's not their fault if their parents are horribly uneducated and unwilling to learn how to properly raise a neurodivergent child.  Although intelligence shouldn't determine a child's worth, I think it's worth mentioning that autistic people are actually some of the smartest and kindest people I know. I even know 2 PhD students in my department who are autistic. Maybe you would've been better off being born autistic, Angelina.
