Where is the global warming?  Houston hasn't been this cold in 122 years.  Thank God for natural gas and a wood burning fire place. ?

Green energy wind turbines are all frozen.  Joe Biden needs to rethink what he is doing.  We've been told to conserve water, but now we are being told to conserve energy.  I want to keep my oil and gas, please.

Seasonal cold weather HAS HAPPENED TO TEXAS before, during the cowboy era.  Seen it in movies.  You telling me movies LIE?

The Texas electrical grid was forewarned a year ago about WINTERIZING their equipment.   They just billed you and pocketed the profits without investing in cold weather STUFF.   So they ripped all their customers off and no one is  "SUING THEM?"

.   Those CEO's don't live in Texas.  They have a beach-house in Florida or Baja California.  They do not rely on the Texas grid.  But in their wisdom, they decided to OPT out of the National Grid system, so they have no connections to it.  Meaning when Houston needed power it came from Houston.  Self sufficient even if you freeze your knackers off.  Chances are good they are "still" not winterizing their system.  Places such as Alaska or Canada have a winterized system.

The oil and gas did not move through the lines to turn on the generators because the CEO's figured it will never get that cold.

. They should be sued through a class action lawsuit.

As for alternate energy, when the rivers FREEZE which is rare...then B.C. uses natural gas and steam to turn the generators.. ..or they get it out another province.

All I know is that it is continuous.  No wind generators yet.

Well, now they are going to have to change their story once again and call it climate change. Anything goes with them to try to implement those radical laws!

Fossil fuel plants here in Texas are actually more affected than wind turbines

Wind turbines in Texas are not all frozen only about 4 %

Wind turbines in Canada, Germany and other places with longer colder winters work fine because they are winterized,  something Texas was told they needed to do but refused

The energy problems here in Texas are 100% the fault of ignorant Republican policies

    Houston is not the globe.

Thinking like that will cause us to lose the only home we have. The science is out there and widely publicized.

Also Sweden the green energy being the thing that debunked the whole grid turned out to be a lie and that is widely publicized. Sweden uses wind turbines and put out a statement for how to use them in cold weather. This is the fault of the leadership of Texas for not cold proofing the system.

I donated to a Texas relief effort. We’re all Americans and we need to help each other out when we need it. I hope Texas makes the changes it needs to make after this crisis passes.

Except your oil/gas lines are all shut down. That's why your house is so cold, sweet cheeks. The grid failed. Small scale wind and solar are the way to go. Even if one fails, the whole community doesn't go w/o power. Just that one failed house. Then there's the cost. Wind and solar get the energy companies out of your pocket. Just like they got them out of mine.

Guess what. The fossil fuel plants are more affected by the cold than the wind turbines are. YOU decided to live in Texas. Nobody forced you.

Don’t worry about reality, as soon as the temperature figures are adjusted you’ll come to discover that this was in fact the warmest winter ever recorded.

Where is the "global" warming?  "Houston" hasn't been this cold in 122 years

    .

Global warming is no longer an accurate name for the changes in weather patterns around the world. That's why they now call it climate change.
