I usually tell visitors to go to Boston, New Orleans, and San Francisco. Those are three cities that are very different in architecture, culture, ambiance, etc. Vegas, on the other hand, is a strip full of tourist, surrounded by a sprawl of housing with no real personality.

No, lots of cities have their own character. New Orleans is another example.

Pretty much every big city has its own flavor. Some, like New Orleans are quite flavorful.
