How are you supposed to get a hold of a PS5 or Xbox series x, checked every store and sold out, but ebay and other online are 1000+?

I have a suggestion for you.

Ask yourself "Why do I need a PS5"?  "Why do I even NEED an XBox Series X"? What would happen to me if I didn't get one of these games right away? Would it be the end of life as I know it?   Or would I live to tell the story? Really. Think about it. Consider that billions of other people in other countries will never get their hands on either one of these machines.  And yet they are content -- and live perfectly happy lives. 

Just something to consider.  As "Delete, Rewind.X " said, it might be good for you to learn to be patient...

You had ample chance to preorder for months.

You only have yourself to blame.  

If you really wanted one this year.. the day ps5 preorders went up (right after there september event livestream) it was very easy to preorder one since they were on multiple stores websites for hours! If you missed out on that day, just wait until early next year, eventually they will have them.. and by then cyberpunk would get its true next gen patch

If you can figure out how to setup one of these purchasing bots you can get one eventually.  Otherwise some people wait at their local store every morning to see if they have a shipment in at opening.  If you can't do either then you just have to wait.  The factories are all screwed up this year because of covid and the new chip technology is difficult to manufacture to make matters worse.  On top of that everyone is stuck bored at home desperate for something new. 

sony and microsoft underestimated supply and demand.  maybe they thought not a lot of people would upgrade on day one.  i'm sure the pandemic doesn't help either.  and if those that have a ps4 pro or xbox one x that can already do 4k, it's really not necessary to uprade.  at least until games stop releasing for themm.  

Not available anywhere here in the U.K. until maybe January.

My Grandson's are waiting.

cyberpunk 2077 will be the same on current-gen as they've not had PS5/XBSX updates yet.

It's the PS4/XBO games working via backward compatibilty.

Then you have to be patient. They will be available in stores in January. And there's not really many games out there for the next gen consoles anway.
