Do you tip for curbside pickup? ?

Does anyone tip the workers who bring out your groceries or food to your car? When I order out and it’s at a place that does curbside pickup like chili’s/outback/99restaurant, I will throw them a few $$$. Obviously when I go out to eat I tip 20% but what do you tip when you do curbside pickup? Same with Walmart and target who do the curbside pickup. I’ve never done curbside pickup with them because I don’t know if you’re suppose to tip, I always just go in to get my order. I talked about it with my hairdresser and she said she never even thought about tipping them.

In some places it's like extortion you don't tip they give you bad service.

For a restaurant during these shut down times, Yes.

No for target or Walmart or at your grocery stores.  Those workers are getting full normal pay. They don’t live on tips like a waiter does.

My niece works as a waitress. She isn’t getting more pay for running food out. She isn’t getting tips because no one is inside.

In normal times no. But during the times of lock down the wait help has no tables to wait on and they are exposed to you and a hundred other people every day. If you still have your income cut them some slack and give them a tip.

Yes, pretty much, because the worker has provided a service that saves me the trip out of my vehicle. What I tip is whatever I feel I can afford. A tip is better than no tip.

For restaurants, I give 15%.  It's almost as much work as serving inside.

I also tip 15% when I have groceries delivered to the house.  Where I live, they drive their own cars.

It's take out.  Tip as you would for take out.     Yes, some of us do tip for take-out.   Not the whole 20% as I would for table service, but yes, I do throw them a few bucks.

No, I don't tip for curbside pick up for things like groceries or Target.   When you order groceries online the prices are higher than they are in-store.
