When are the NHL playoffs?

As the pandemic shortened regular season has not even started yet, and as we don't know if the pandemic will allow the shorter 2020-2021 season to be played to a conclusion, we can only tentatively say that we HOPE that the playoffs will start around the 10th-12th of May 2021.

I  can remember when the NHL was popular 

now it's as popular as the WNBA for God sakes  !

Regular season is kinda in danger because of the contract talks between the league and players. Also they might have to have 1 All-Canadian conference as the borders aren't open.

I'd love that though as it would really ramp up rivalries.

There has to be an 20/21 season/playoffs, before there can be a 21-22 one! 

I'm hearing Bettman and the NHL want to do a 60 game season that would start in January, and that would likely go into May, which means the playoffs would start in June and go to September.

Now as for 21-22 season? That's going to depend on when the 20/21 season starts... it could feasibly start in October 21', or go as late as Jan 22', which would put the playoffs anywhere from mid April or mid June.

So far as I know, the NHL doesn't even know when the playoffs start.  

Well, first let's see when the 2020/21 season starts and finishes before we start making plans for the 2021/22 schedule. The later this season starts, the later the next season will be, though I'm sure they'll try to get it back to "normal" as soon as they can (preseason starting in September, regular season October to early April, playoffs from mid-April to June).

Depends on when the regular season starts.  Under normal circumstances the regular season runs from early October through early April and the playoffs begin during the 2nd full week in April.
