Do you agree with Sen. Ben Sasse about the Executive Order signed 8/8/2020?

He said " President Trump does not have the power to unilaterally rewrite the payroll tax law. Under the Constitution, that power belongs to the American people acting through their members of Congress."

    Absolutely.

The president can not simply rule by decree.

The GOP laid down like carpets. That's the only reason he lasted six months, let alone four years.

The president can certainly make his wishes known through executive order. But until there actually exists legislation to enact that, it's just a suggestion, even if it does come from Donald.

And Donald seems to have $0.00 of credit left.

Yes. Sasse is one of the few true conservatives left in Congress.
