Are they processing passports right now?

My son is going on a mission trip in July and we applied about a month ago.  Are they processing them or is that department closed?  I know it will be delayed, but trying to figure out how likely it is that he will get it in time for the trip.

    If you are in the US, you can see information about processing during COVID at the link below.  They have limited processing operations for applications received after March 20, and expect significant delays for those received prior to that time.

    As his trip is unlikely now to be for several months, it's likely he's got some time.

    Not that you've given a country of citizenship (this site is global), so it's hard to know.

    I'm pretty sure it's open.  It usually takes about 6 weeks.
