I'm married & filing my taxes jointly with my wife. Can we both still claim single on our W4 so the max taxes or taken out of our paychecks?

    Yes, you can do that.

    Yes.. Just select "withhold at single rate" on W-4 form

    You should select "married, but withhold at higher single rate". That's honest, and you get what you want.

    Yes, but you're giving an interest-free loan to the government by doing so. You might better put that money in a retirement plan.
