Swap Cooler issues. Trying to troubleshoot the pump.?

Hi all. So I installed a new pump (that pulls water up from the pan and saturates the pads). The pump runs in the “pump only” setting saturating the pads like its supposed to. But when I switch the dial over to either “low cool” or “high cool” the pump continues to pump water into the pads. It never shuts off. The pump doesn’t run in the 2 “vent” settings (which it shouldn’t so that’s good). Any ideas?

By the way, what’s the difference between the cool settings and the vent settings? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would expect the high cool and low cool to vary the fan speed.

The pump has to run all of the time when in the cooling modes so the pads will stay wet.

In the vent mode the fan should run but the pump should not run.

    It's working perfectly.

The difference in the settings is 'cool' pump is on running water over the pads. That's how it cools, humidify the air.

It doesn't work good with high humidity.

    Vent is just the fan.

You can run that when it rains or is very humid.
