What does standard trim level mean?

I am wondering if the standard trim level of a car is the base model for a car

    The dealer will tell you what they mean when they use that term.

    That would be the base model as determined by the manufacuter. There is probably about 3 levels of add ons above it. And some models, like pick up trucks have 1 model below it for a work truck. For example, you might be able to buy a pick up truck without a radio, or with only an AM/FM radio as a work truck.

    Yes, Zippy... "Standard Trim Level" is the BASE model of a car.
