Why doesn't someone award Best Answer to all those excellent answers out there. What's the problem?

Because this is Yahoo Answers in 2018.

It's full of halfwits, usually under the age of 18 who have no idea what they are talking about - which means they give bad answers and people don't want to pick a "best" answer, especially if most of them are terrible.

That's my opinion anyway. I'm not sure if you still get 3 points for picking a best answer anymore as I haven't picked one myself in ages.

The problems with not choosing a best answer will appear eventually, as this site will amass too many unresolved questions; that is why the original yahoo answers allowed people to vote for a best answer; to free up the backlog.

But you can be sure that Daniel (Mr Square eyes) has plenty of time to pick a best answer, he's never off this website.

Some people dont have Enough time to sit down and Pick a Best Answer or Maybe there not Sure what to pick that is a Another Possible reason

While it would be Nice to Reward someone 10 Points its not Required tho

There's no 'problem' it just doesn't mean enough to many question askers to do it. They don't care about the points (theirs or the user who would get 10 or more for BA). It's not required, and some just don't remember to go back and do it. It would be nice if more users did it or if the feature was just done away with (but that's not likely to happen any time soon, if ever).

because many are cheating and have several accounts and award themselves all the points its a farce now people are top contributors and are clearly cheating so what is the point of taking it seriously its like western society today it looks official but is as corrupt as a pirates ship

They probably never looked at their question again or they don’t care about the answers/The point system
