Why have feminists started to accuse every famous person of raping them?

To get attention and probably partly also because some of them are working for investors, who are interested in making a quick buck by short selling stocks, that are in some way connected to the person being accused.

lawsuits. famous men are rich and accusing them of sexual misdeeds can become highly lucrative.

Certainly not everyone who's famous. Very very few in fact. This is a clear case of a few rotten apples spoiling the bushel.
But here's the deal. Rich and famous people have power over a lot of people. And when they make sexual advances over those people they have power over, the targets of those advances are afraid to refuse or repel those powerful people who can ruin careers or worse.
This is not new. In fact for decades the U.S. military has a regulation against commissioned officers from "fraternizing" with enlisted people for that same reason. Commissioned officers have power over the enlisteds.
What's new is that now these powerless victims have found their own power in social media. And they are using that to fight back against the predator rich and powerful.

it's the trending thing. it'll pass.
To Elana.... JLaw has not been accused so far because it's not trending yet to accuse women. give it time. *evil grin*

Nobody yet has accused Jennifer Lawrence of raping them. Jennifer Lawrence is, it turns out, a person. And yeah, she's famous.
Premise of question is false. Although I would argue that this question should not exist, if it insists on existing, this probably is the right category for it.

Well, John Leslie has been accused multiple times....and to date not one case has been proved. Is the courts time being wasted ? Women like famous men...cash and prizes can be had by accusing them. But my guess is all the out of court payments will stop now as so many people have broken the agreements attached to them. Much harder to prove allegations through court, but since trial by allegation seems to be the new media 'thing', more guys gonna go to court. Much harder route to the 'dosh'.
