The government can't even run ITSELF. What makes you think they can run all the banks?

The Government already Dominates the Big Banks. That is why we have this massive Recession and Banks Failing and being bailed out.

The huge Bonuses given the corrupt Bankers by the Democrat Party in 2009 were a Reward for doing what the Government wanted and a reward for the Support from Banks and Corporations they received during the 2008 campaign.

Government Domination of Banks is not an accurate statement. The Banks make the policies. The Government accepts them and makes them Law!

If it weren't for the Tea Party, no fine would have occurred. It would all have been Permanently swept under some rug in a corner of Washington DC.

When banks stick only to proper banking and not speculating on their own account, these things do not happen. Capitalism works well when it confines itself to proper limits. Because of the risk assessment needed in making loans, banks should not be nationalized. Risk assessment is better done by those who stand to lose something in case of an error.

It would be nice to see convictions of bank executives and seizure of assets, like what would happen if this corporation was not too big to prosecute. Fines are just the cost of doing business to them.

I'll admit - government taking over all the banks would be the fastest road to complete national bankruptcy and total anarchy. Serves my purposes - I say go for it.

The people who were running BoA at the time are IN THE GOVERNMENT NOW.
