Denamarin or Milk Thistle for dogs with slightly elevated liver levels?

I'm leaning towards Denamarin but I've heard great things about Milk Thistle as well. Which would you prefer/which did you use? And for how long did you use it?

I'd plump for the Denamarin if you can afford it, as it contains the active ingredient in milk thistle (silybin), as well as SAMe. Depending on the cause of the dog's liver problems, the condition may resolve after a few weeks or it may require liver support for life.
