Jon Malkovitch conquers speech impediment?

? It seems to me that Jon Malkovich, now old, has finally conquered his speech imediment, judging by a recent performance of Shakespeare? Who else who has a good ear can hear the difference in his diction and how would you describe the improvenment in his speaking voice?

...By "speech impediment" do you mean "accent"? Actors do tend to vary those to suit the role.

And diction is something that matches to particular characters as well.

Malkovich's speaking style is pretty much his trademark, I don't think there's any "impediment".

And I've more than once seen him used as THE example for "perfect diction".

An impediment would be certain sounds/sound combinations that he couldn't pronounce. Can you be any more specific about what you're referring to.

(Also: There's an H in "John".)

I always thought he had a distinctive speaking voice, but can't say I thought of it as a speech impediment!! Maybe I just never noticed it fully.
