How we will appear as resurrected saints:

1Jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM; for we shall see him as he is. NOTE: We will be like Him as He was after His resurrection.

Ecclesiastes 6:7 All the labor of man [is] for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

All the wonderful things which man has vainly sought in this life, often in his own strength without God (that is, things such as peace, rest, happiness, personal fulfillment and joy of living) will at last be poured out during the Kingdom of His Son, during the 1000 year reign, referred to as "The Millennium."

There will be two types of people on earth during the Millennium:

There will be Mortal people, and there will be Immortal people.

Those who have accepted Christ as Savior in this life, and who were in the First Resurrection, will be in their immortal, glorified, everlasting new bodies. They will "live and reign with Christ..."

Revelation 20:4-6, And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection.

Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The thousand years will be a great time of peace, due largely to the fact that Christ Himself will rule from the throne of David in Jerusalem. Not only will the earth be graced with the personal presence of our Lord, but Satan will be bound and in prison during that time. Thus, he is unable to create chaos among the mortal people who live, work and play on earth for a thousand wonderful years.

Revelation 20:1-3 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

The prophet Isaiah prophesied it would be a time of peace.

Isaiah 2:4-5, And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

As has been stated, the saved will be in glorified immortal bodies. However, there will be long life and happiness to mortals who are alive at that time also.
