Why is my internet speed slower on one computer and not the other?

Both computers are on the same network. Both computers are wirelessly connected. Do I need to change the wireless network card?

The signal might be the issue. One way to troubleshoot this is to move the computer next to the wireless router and see if it is still slow. As an alternative, you can try moving the router/the computer/ or the antenna to see if you can get a better signal. Sometimes moving it a few feet in any direction can have dramatic results. There are also booster antennas you can purchase that can be placed several feet from your computer.

I had two computers that were within 1 foot of each other where one would get a fast connection and the other one's connection was slow. I swapped wireless cards with no result. moving the router and antenna would fix the problem, but only for a day or so. Eventually I ran patch cables to both computers. problem solved.

Maybe. But make sure you run your antivirus software on the computer that is running slow. You might have gotten something on it.
