Fiero camshaft removal?

I have a 1988 Fiero GT and want to put a competition camshaft in it.. I'm assuming you have to remove the engine to do so.. Is that a correct assumption, or can it be done with the engine in?

LOL! "Competition" cam??? What are you smoking that makes you think a Fiero could "compete" in anything (besides number of breakdowns and engine fires)??

And where exactly do you think you'd find a "performance" cam for that car -- next to the left-handed wrenches and muffler bearings?

You need some schooling in auto mechanics, son. YES, of course, you do have to pull the engine to replace the cam - it's a mid-engine car!!
