What do I do to overcome emotional eating?

So, I made new year's resolutions to eat well. But I got upset this weekend, and ate so much yesterday and today. How do I (1) stop overeating when I'm in the midst of it and (2) keep myself eating well relentlessly? Any advice is welcome!

    Well it takes a lot of will, one night or day no matter what sit their and forget about extra snacks. Then the next day think about how in the long run nothing bad happened. Make sure to only buy healthy food and few sweets. This will help. Or find a hobby or adopt a pet, these can create a perm. Solution, every time you want to eat pay attention to the pet or do the hobby
