Precal Radicals question.?

What is:

(x + sqrt(x^2 - 1)) (x - sqrt(x^2 - 1))

I think it should result in zero but I can't figure out how it would be. Could you show how you got the answer?

Update:

Well I got it. The answer to this, by itself, is 1, seeing as this is a conjugation( or whatever it's called). When plugged in with the rest of the problem, it's 0.
