I have a 2005 cadillac CTS 3.6L and want more power with the stock engine.?

Dude, its a 3.6L engine. Your lucky if you can keep oil in that thing. Hard enough with the timing chains stretching also. Not sure that engine was designed to handle a charger on top, may destroy the engine real quickly. Save your money & trade that thing in on a V-Series!!!!! They come stock at 565HP & it has a warranty if you get one new enough that covers all that good stuff under the hood!!!!!!

We got one around town that added a few mods to it & word on the street is it is pushing 720HP at the wheels which is wickedly scary!!! But I would advise not adding that since these engines are that reliable & the extra force exerted on the pistons & rings will surely doom them very quickly

Cadillac Cts 3.6 Performance Parts

Not everyone is rich enough to buy a V. However you can rip the 3.6 out and install an ls engine, like me and a buddy did and you have a V minus suspension and wheels. .I just bought a 06 cts with the 3.6. I'm gonna be doing it again shortly, ls engine, t56 tranny, also installing new diff, not sure which gears I'm going with. But I agree, if there was more aftermarket parts for the 3.6..turbo, ecu program, etc. I would've probably just beefed up the 3.6..

Do a web search for cadillac racing parts. There are several companies that specialize in Cadillac high performance. I would say sell it and buy a V8 model as the little V6 is already stressed enough in stock configuration. Otherwise, maybe $5000 will get you into some sort of blower or turbo.

A good one that isnt $5000? maybe in dreams only as a nice SC kit requires much more money, than that, the $5k figure is for parts only + labor + dyno runs + Ecu tune and so on..... You need to custom your parts as you have a car with very low aftermarket support, you can contact Crower

With a car performance simulator[1] you can virtually do any mod on your car and see how it would improve to help you decide what mods to do

i don't know of any aftermarket cams,rollers for v6 engines but im sure you can find some if you look hard.If you go to jegs.com or summitracing.com you can type in year make model and engine type and find everything you need.
