Are there any Wicca training facilities on the West Coast?

I've been practicing Wicca alone for almost 4 years now. I would really like to study with a High Priestess, but I don't even know where to begin looking. Any suggestions???

Merry Meet. I had to giggle a little at your phrasing because we don't have "training facilities" in general. However, there are are a lot of different options for people who want to learn the religion of Wicca. There are a few brick-and-mortar type Wiccan religious institutions/temples, but generally speaking, Wiccan covens meet at private residences and privately held lands. Here are a few of the many options available to all seekers:

    1. The first thing I tell people is to check for Wiccan clergy at WitchVox.org. Take a look at their local groups page to find some credentialed clergy who run legitimate covens. Take a look at the "Traditions" page first to familiarize yourself with the many Wiccan Traditions so you can find one that feels like it is comfortable for you . Wicca is not the same everywhere you go. Be SURE to check that clergy are licensed and have a good reputation.

    2. You can attend Pagan festivals to familiarize yourself with Wicca and other Pagan religions, take classes, attend rituals, and talk with lots of Wiccans and other Pagans. Search "Pagan festivals" and you'll get lots of hits. I like Free Spirit Gathering in Maryland in June and there is also Paganicon coming up in the Minneapolis area in March (I'm teaching a class there...come say hi!). There are others such as Pagan Spirit Gathering and Winter Witch Camp. These are nice because they can give you an overview of options all in one place.

    3. You can check to see if you local Unitarian Universalist Church has a CUUPS chapter. They give public Wiccan rituals and classes.

    4. Check out Covenant of the Goddess, which I know has a chapter in California. They are a respected licensing body and they can put you in touch with local groups of different stripes.

Oh, and this crap about Wicca being something for women only is completely ridiculous. My Tradition has lots of men. Wicca is for everyone who feels drawn to it. And the wiccawitchcraft.net site is a Christian propaganda site that offers half truths about Wicca and is obviously written by people who have no grasp of what Wicca actually is.

Look for local groups & events at www.witchvox.com. I don't know how old you are but no reputable groups or instructors will take on minors.

I've never heard the word "training facility" usedwith Wicca so I have to wonder how much you've actually read about Wicca in 4 years... so I would also recommend going to wicca.cnbeyer.com and going through the site, and start up with the recommended reading list. That's the first thing any HP/HPS would start you with, anyway-- reading.

I could say the west for exceptional surroundings, nonetheless it is such a lot most likely NOT higher climate smart as, despite the fact that it has a tendency to be milder than the east coast when you consider that of the consequences of the gulf circulation, this additionally pulls in plenty of cloud and rain. Summers at the west coast can also be very hit or miss, while it is most often more likely to be sunnier at the east coast, albeit ordinarily a little less warm when you consider that of the North Sea. In reality, as a west coaster myself, if I desire a fast holiday someplace I normally head east, as it is a lot more more likely to be sunny!

Not sure what you mean by "training facilities", but if you are over 18, you can go to WitchVox.com and search for individuals or covens in your area with whom you can study. Make sure they are reputable.

If you’re thinking you want to start training your dog properly, but aren’t sure how, then you’re in the right place. Learn more http://onlinedogtraining.enle.info/?2x0E

The thing about proper dog training is that the more you know, the more you can use towards training your dog. If you have gotten a new dog or puppy, you should work on training them right away. If they are going to be indoor dogs, you can start crate training them . This prevents bathroom accidents or your items being chewed on. Start off with the right sized crate, so that they have enough room in the crate to move around a bit.

If you are trying to crate train your dog or puppy you must understand that you can not expect them to be able to hold their bladders for extremely long periods. You must provide times for them to go to the bathroom. They don’t want to go in their special place. So it is up to you to take care of them. If they have a accident don’t get mad at them, it wasn’t their fault it was yours.

When teaching your dog discipline, regardless of what training method you use, you should always apply it with speed and consistency. Not correcting your dog for bad behavior every single time, sends him mixed signals that may only make the problem worse. Likewise, not correcting your dog immediately, may make it hard for him to understand why you are punishing him.
