My betta fish stopped eating!?

i moved my betta fish into a new bigger and better tank and he has stopped eating! i have no idea why! he even likes his new tank he blew little bubbles all around the tank in less than 2 days. i give him the food and all he does is look at it an then swims away he looks perfectly healthy from the out side and he seems not to be bothered but just wont eat! he swims around the tank and then he falls asleep around the top of the tank and i drop about 1 or 2 pellets in the tank and all he does is sit there and moves later on. i have no idea what to do please help me save my Logan !

Update:

it has a filter and no we didnt buy the heater yet we were waiting to see if he liked it he blew his bubbles

around the tank so i dont know whats wrong the water stays in the green zone for his tank because we mostly always have the heater on so the room temp is normal. any suggestions?

Update 2:

well is there anyway to keep him there? because his old tank was so small and he did the same thing this time he swims more and explores in the other tank which was a half gallon he barely moved. my gf says wen she feeds him he eats but wen i do he doesnt. i dont understand!

Do a partial water change and make sure he's warm enough. Is the tank cycled, heated and filtered?

    He is depressed!

    Believe it or not.

I also had a Betta fish (many, but this 1 in particular) Hurricane was his name.

I took him out of the aquarium w/ the other fishies, into his own beautiful 1 gal., tank.

He would swim a lil', eat...and then lay in this 1 spot--ALWAYS in this same exact spot,

he'd approach it the same way, lay the same way.

I had my daughter check it out. (she's like Dr. Doolittle's grand-daughter.

That's what I've called her for yrs)

She took 1 Look! and said "I've never seen a depressed fish b4!"

    But he most assuredly was.

    But him Back!!

Or you won't have your Betta named Logan, any more.

its just takes time for your fish to adapt. i moved my betta from a small tank to a larger tank recently. my boys looked so confused because of the space they gained that they didn't eat for a week. once they got used to their environment they started eating again.

but it looks like your answer is in your post. your gf and you are both feeding him. don't let her feed him and wait a day then feed him yourself. he's being overfed. if she wants to feed logan you might have to set a schedule who's turn it will be to feed fish.

try adding aquarium salt (1 tablespoon per 5 gallons) to prevent any infection and strengthen the immune system. a 25% water change and temperature of 80 degrees will also help.

Try feeding him bloodworms....Get some heat in that tank too!! Maybe he does not like you....

just wait for him to adapt to his new home. feed him live food for the mean time. :)
