Most of the Asian eat rice. The resent flood in Thailand had cause a shortage of stock pile supply.?

What do you think if i suggest the rice eater to change the habitat to another type of food with carbohydrate as te same base of food nutrition; potato. Therefore we have optional food supply and the price of the rice shall drop as it being increasing drastically recently. I hope the rice eater change their mind set as this is the best option to solve shortage. Me, i am not a rice eater since i am young as i always have taught that rice calorie is meant for hard working labours who needs lot energy to have strength to work. Whereas the office worker need food that contain nutrition for theri brain like the corn, red beans, chick nut and etc.

Not likely for 2 years as they have a 2 year stock pile and the Indian and other rice crops have not been affected, you may have to use Basmati or Patna Chinese style, even look at the Japanese short grained rice used for sushi, it is like sticky rice but is not bad as a side.

That might work for many in your country where you have huge acreage to grow them, but in most Asia there is not sufficient room for an equivalent amount of rice for the population.

Their are some excellent pics here of what tiered lice fields are like and you will see where ever square inch of land is used, and potatoes wouldn't cope there.
