Think of this as a ratio or fraction.

So for every 1 teaspoon there is 1.87 mg glucose. Which is the same as 1:1.87.

Therefore if you want to increase the left side (teaspoons) to 2, multiply the right side by 2 as well.

Since 1/2 dose, 5 mL, or one teaspoon full of medication contains 1.87 mL(i asume mL) than inorder to determine the amount of glucose in 1 dose, 10mL or 2 teaspoons full of medication you simply double the amount of glucose (1.87*2)

    1 tsp, 1.87 mg glucose

    2 tsp, 2(1.87) = 3.74 mg glucose
