Sinus Problems involving vomiting?

Throughout my life, I have had some bad sinus problems. I have had headaches, congestion, sinus infections, etc. But since mid january, these sinus problems have developed into black and blues under my eyes, aches on my upper cheeks and around my nose, as well as vomiting. I usually vomit whatever is in my stomach but if its empty, it will be mostly saliva or mucous, but once it was a small amount of blood (after dry heaving for a period of time)

I visited an ENT specialist in march and he said I had a deviated septum and polyps, and prescribed some antibiotic and a nasal spray. He gave me the option of surgery, but stressed that my polyps would probably come back. He seemed to ignore the fact that I throw up constantly (atleast 5 times a week).

What I am getting at is, does a bad sinus infection or bad sinuses actually cause vomiting? It usually occurs after a change in temperature, or a wind gust. My saliva become really sticky as if its gonna contain mucous, but it is just clear. It has become a nuisance because I play sports constantly and it makes doing any physical activity nearly impossible. I am going back to the ENT in may (after school ends), but I feel like the nausea is not linked to the sinus problem (because my ENT pretty much shook off the fact that I vomit).

Please do not respond if you only feel like you know sinus problems because you might have had some. I just want some good information from people with decent credentials.

Sometimes the aching and any swelling under the eyes can be caused by a dental problem.

Any infection in the mouth, upper respiratory tract can give rise to vomiting.

Get a dental check as well as seeing your ENT specialist again (unless he has already done an x-ray of the sinuses).

You can get congested nasal lining from allergies., anything that does that can stop proper drainage from the sinuses.

"There is increasing evidence to support the idea that allergies can predispose a person to developing sinus infections."

He is right in that polyps can come back. A deviated septum can interfere with drainage. It looks like a vicious circle!

Btw using a decongestant spray for longer than 5 days can lead to rebound congestion. Have you tried taking an antihistamine? Apharmacist will help you choose one as some make people feel drowsy.

If you think you have the extremely rare, dangerous strain of black mold, call your local health department and ask for an inspection / test. Mildow CAN be black as well as green or orange and it does grow quite rapidly. Whether you like it or not, more than likely you have mildew in your house. Mildew occurs from excessive humidity which is why it is usually found in bathrooms and laundry rooms.

If ENT in your area is only less helpful and care only for the amount in your wallet then I, would suggest that you see a Chinese Dr. that also practice chinese medicine they have what you are looking for.
