xBox 360 slim 4gb wireless internet connection problem - Easy 10 points for a useful answer!?

I asked this earlier- but I know nobody will see it since it's on page 6 now. I need more answers, the one I have gotten so far is a no go- I can't hook up a ethernet cable- that is not an option! Please read my message- 10 points to a working answer!

I have the new xbox 360 4gb model, and I can't get it to connect to the internet. At first when I go on, it connects and asks me to update, the update completes and resets, and then that's it- I lose connection and I have never been able to connect to xBox live. It says it can't find the IP address. So I reset the router, and still it's a no go. Now I know it's the xBox, because my Wii is sitting right next to it, and I have no problems at all connecting with it. So far I'm so disappointed in the xBox. This is my first one, and so far I haven't found anything really good about it :( So, if anybody has any ideas- please help me change my mind about the xbox! :) 10 points for the first answer that actually works!

i'm not really sure about this one

maybe you could try to re-enter the wifi code.....reset the network settings(xbox360) in the system settings>network

if that doesn't work you could call 18004myxbox <i know thats a lengthy process but they know more than everyone else.

Click on Start Click on Control Panel Click on Network Connections Right Click on Local Wireless Connection (your wireless connection) Then on Properties Click on Configure (you'll be prompted here but just continue) Click on Power Management Uncheck all you see there, then click okay Right Click on Local Wireless Connection (your wireless connection) Then on Properties Click on Configure (you'll be prompted here but just continue) Click on Advanced Now look for PowerSaver features Click on that feature and then change the Value to disabled Click okay Go back to the control panel Click on Power Options Under Power Schemes Change the Home/Office Desk or Portable Laptop To Always on.. On Batteries never turn off the HDD Never put the system into stanby Leave the monitor but change it to 1 hour. You can create your own Power schemes to save as. This should fix your problem with the laptop. If the wireless router is acting up you'll need to press the reset with a paper clip for 30 secs. But first try the above.
