Man, that's a good question. I see "Alien" in the list, but I think the sequel, "Aliens" -- is better. Then again, I might call "Aliens" the best action movie ever, too. Not sure if it's sci-fi or action. Ignoring the hint, it looks like the eclipse scene in Pitch Black.

It is the eclipse scene from "Heroes" in season 3.

It is not from "Pitch Black", that eclipse scene is a planet with rings like Saturn that eclipse the sun(s), not a moon/sun eclipse.
