Obamacare and tax income checks?

I heard through the grapevine through a friend of mine and have been doing research for the past hour, googling like mad and feeling inadequate and promptly freaking out.

I would like to know if anyone on the Yahoo Answers community knows this question:

Will the new ObamaCare take my husbands tax income return check because we are not enrolled in a government or "qualified" health insurance plan?

I am uncertain if this is true or not, and I have gotten rid of some of the things that I was worried about.

Answers from ALL political sides are completely and utterly welcome.

If you are a conservative, tell me what you think. Republican? Tell me!

I need to know whats going on without becoming president myself.

Thanks in advance.

PS If you can show me some websites that will back up your comments or answers, would be VERY much appreciated.

Thanks.

Income tax return checks have to do with many things, no one thing will stop you from getting it. As long as taxes were taken out of checks you've receive, you have the right to file and receive a income tax return check.

No. An adult who does not have ANY health insurance by 2014 would be penalized $95 or 1 percent of income, whichever is greater, so long as the amount does not exceed the price tag of a basic health plan.

And where the IRS comes in is if that penalty is not paid, it may be taken from your tax refund.

If you get a tax refund check after filing your taxes (I'm guessing that's what you mean by a "tax income check"?) that just means you have been voluntarily OVERPAYING your taxes for the last twelve months! Getting a refund is a BAD THING, because it means you just made an "interest-free" LOAN to the IRS, does that sound like a sane thing to have done?

From what I understand, the answer is no, but will pay a penalty, but the penalty will probably be less than the cost of the insurance he has to get
