The kids live with the mother and her boyfriend. I think he gets too rough with the discipline. But that's not all. The mother is ALWAYS either drunk or high. She lets the 13 year old daughter smoke and constantly leaves her alone with her older boyfriend. The bills don't get paid because alcohol and drugs are more important. They didn't even have school clothes until I bought them some. The boy had 3 pairs of underwear to his name. They move every couple of months (not far, but still that has to be stressful). The mother volunteers to babysit her friends kids, then dumps them on her kids so she can go "to town". Ugh, it's such a huge mess. I think he kids need someone who can raise them to do better for themselves and not end up like their parents, and they need a stable environment.

I really don't want to see them go to foster homes, which is why nothing has been done yet.

If valid, the children would go to foster homes.

You could apply to have custody/ guardianship.

They prefer children to go to blood relatives so they would talk to other family members first.
