Why my Red Ear Slider is always resting on the rocks?

Why is my 6 inches Red Ear Slider perpetually resting on the surface of the stones, and is not eating.

He has been like that for over 10 days. Looks like he is sick.

If this is something recent, you may need a veterinarian who specializes in reptiles. If not, check temperatures. They should be 32°C for basking and 27°C in the water, give or take a degree. Also, try different food. Earthworms can sometimes entice a picky eater to start eating again.

If you do not have proper heating or lighting he will get sick and act like that. It can also be caused by bacterial infections or parasites.

Turtles need a basking area and UVA/UVB lighting or they will get sick and die.

I would take him to a vet that specializes in reptiles. Not all vets see them.
