can my labtop get a new graphics card?

ok i own an hp pavillion dv6000 labtop. the default integrated graphics card is the intel 945gm series. half life 2 pc game just got a sdk update so my card cant handle it anymore. on the right side of my pc is a area were a big card of some sort can be plugged in, is this were i can insert another graphics card? if so what would be compatible with my labtop?

    For the love of god, the correct term is laptop.

    You don't own a lab.

    You have a lap.

    The laptop goes there.

    99% of laptops do not have upgradeable video chipsets.

    This laptop is included in that number.
