guys, have you tried to read our constitution?

so do you really understand our constitution? i think it's awesome!

Update:

woot, nerd in the house!

Update 2:

i think the book only cost around rm10. i didn't manage to finish reading the book though. but there are 2 version that i'm aware of, the 1st uses a more classical language which is kinda hard for me to understand, the 2nd book is easier to understand.

Update 3:

hi emerald: you again? *sigh* here's an idea, why don't you release your identity as a malaysian and be a citizen of other countries? well hey, just an idea..

Update 4:

edit:emerald_mara85

i assume you're much much older than me, so why the scepticism?i mean i know u r.. 1 thing i know for sure, you have it all wrong. i mean, u really need to talk to somebody about this.

Update 5:

god i love this. do u read it further on what the "peace and harmony" means? guess not..the meanings of the terms are stated in the book n it means other religions are free to be practiced without "inviting" the majority muslims to follow other religions. u should know that all debates to abolish the constitution is a losing battle and i might say, a stupid one. the constitution is agreed by our forefathers regardless of races. so why are u rebelling now? i'm not trying to ask u to "berambus". i really mean it, u should talk to someone about this. u really need help.

Update 6:

"Who said anything that our forefathers was right in the 1st place?"

well r u saying that the agreement of citizenship of chinese and indians by the malays r not right too? well, does that means chinese n indians shouldn't sit here? so does that means you guys should not be a malaysian? is that mean that the decision of the malays to allow chinese n indians to settle here is also a wrong decision?just asking.

"Why did you think that people are still fighting over it?" well i think it's pretty obvious that people nowadays r ungrateful.

Update 7:

Singapore didn't really got kicked out. they asked for their own independence. the reason why Malaysia is not doing too good right now is because the attitude of Malaysians themselves. it's pretty obvious isn't it?

Assuming its the right one I'm reading (includes article 153 aka special rights for Bumiputra)

    Awesome?

    AWESOME?!

You must be mad. Or you're one of the privileged class (then again, what am I saying? I already knew that).

It stinks of racism and hypocrisy (aka its just there to look pretty).

How about the special treatment of the natives? (also 153)

Hah, in the end, you need to register as a Muslim to be one.

    What a joke.

Article 3 states that Islam is the religion of the Federation; but other religions may be practised in peace and harmony in any part of the Federation.

Also another joke, other religions cannot practice freely (no radio stations, no TV shows about other religions and the Allah word which happens to be Arabic, need I say more?)

Lots of stuff in the constituition but if you ask me, printing the constitution is a waste of trees. Especially when you can see it online (And please, don't say you can't take the cpu with you, if you can afford a cpu you can afford a Kinder Book or even fancier an IPAD)

So yes, IT IS NOT AWESOME!

    Edit:

Hahaha, ah yes the much softer way to tell me to 'berambus'.

Even if I did, would the country changed from its racism ways? Yes, go and endorse racism, it tells me how much of a racist you can be.

Its not call skepticism, its called being realistic.

I see it as it is.

The lies and trying to cover up flaws, that's called being a hyprocrite and pretentious.

Here's an idea, why don't you try being a 2nd class citizen? Hah, assuming you can survive it.

    Lone Ranger,

Then tell me my dear good sir, why are they having financial problems? DUH!

    Edit, edit:

Who said anything that our forefathers was right in the 1st place (And please don't say anything about them getting independence, if you know your world history, the British empire felt it was much better to let Malaysia go as they had more concerns with another bigger country, that's why it was so easy)?

Why did you think that people are still fighting over it?

Because it is so plainly wrong (Unless you're telling me that racism is so clearly in Islam which is NOT last time I checked and yes a lot of people are still saying its wrong)!

Think about it, why did Singapore got kick out and the Singaporeans were crying over on the TV and now...well, they are doing a whole lot better than us.

Giving way for evil rules gives way for evil to breed.

    Edit no.3:

BOOOHHH, That's what Malaysian textbooks says but Discovery Channel says that's false, Singapore was kicked out over the issue of equality (and thus a recording of sad Singaporeans crying in that time). Our forefathers did not want to drag out the issue as its their own race 1st (Gee, I wonder how much more cover-up in our history is there, other than May 13th).

As for non-Malays becoming Malaysians...it was a given seeing as many non-Malays have stayed in Malaysia for a very long time and contribute to Malaysia/Tanah Melayu. Instead of listing all the 'foreigners' why not ask the non-Malays to register and put anyone born in Malaysia before/during/after the Malaysia Day to be Malaysians. Its a lot less work that way.

Ta-Dah, thus avoiding about belonging to what land or so that was suppose to happen...but of course it seems that there are many who are refused their citizenship for refusing to convert to Islam (Indian issue, very sad).

Malaysia, oh Malaysia, if the foundation of a building was weak, do you not think that the building would not fall down? What Malaysia is today is a result of the past.

As for the religion thing, that's why I said its just a bunch of pretty words that has no meaning whatsoever.

Source(s): http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Constitution_of_Mala... Heck, I was forced to buy these books for college...so yeah I read it.

    To Emerald,,,,

A Bumiputera does not necessarily be a Muslim.

There are millions of Bumiputera in Sabah/Sarawak (Bajau, Iban, Kadazan, Dayak, Dusun, Melanau, Orang Ulu and many more, some are Muslim and majority are Christian and yet they are still a Bumiputera).

I am assuming that you are reading without even trying to understand what you are reading. Thats funny.
