First time laptop buyer, need a good reliable computer to replace my desktop.?

Question

Getting rid of my current desktop, and decided to go mobile with the computer, so I want to buy a cheap laptop that I can use as a DVD player for my flat screen tv via HDMI, has to have atleast 4GB of ram and 320 GB HD, and preferably an intel processor, and the screen needs to be 16"+.  My price range is <$700. Let me know what you think, and i appreciate any input, and I am not loyal to any one brand, but no Dell or cheaper brands please.

the second one has a slightly slower processor (and AMD) but has a graphics card to help the HDMI and give you better picture and reslution.

Stupid Mac fanboys plaguing Yahoo answers, listen to the question he wants a HDMI port which no macs have! Besides the cheapest mac is $1000 and his price range is under $700. Mac fanboys really tick me off

You want reliable or cheap? Apple is probably the most reliable with the best tech support. They aren't the cheapest, though. You can't go wrong buying one though.
