How did you feel right before you went into labor? Any different then normal and how many weeks were you?

Also how much did baby weigh? Im being induced on tuesday at 5 am. Getting cervadil on monday. Anyone have it and what did it do, did it trigger labor alone?

I have been feeling so sick for 2 days now. Cant eat much, cant sleep and just feel awful, i do keep cleaning! I wonder if itll happen on its own. I hope to wait, my doctor is out of town until monday.

Thanks everyone just wanted to hear your personal stories!!

Right before labor... I woke up at 6am, which was weird for me, took a shower and braided my hair. I felt great, I thought I was just having more braxton hicks. (I was actually having contractions) I went to school and was talking with my supervisor and she said my contractions were getting closer. She could tell cause my voice would fluctuate when I had one. But they didn't hurt. My mom and aunt both called me within 5min of each other and told me i should go to the Dr. and get checked. I drove down to the Dr. and got in right before lunch, they checked me and I was already 7cm. She said I needed to get to L&D, now. it was only across the street. My aunt met me there and my mom and hubby were on their way. I checked in about 12:15pm. My contractions really started hurting around 8cm when they were 3min apart. that wasn't long after I got all the admin stuff done. after 8cm you can get an epidural. So i had to go without any pain meds at all. My water didn't break til i was almost 10cm, and pushing. once i started pushing it was quick! the nurse actually had to tell the Dr. to hurry he didn't have time to put on any of the coverings on himself. he had gloves and that was about it. My beautiful boy was born at 4:06pm. I had a very quick labor for it being my first.

My son was 2 days overdue, he was 6lbs 15oz. 18.5inch long with a 13.5inch head. I got 4stiches, ouch!

The cleaning is normal i went through the same thing. my house had never been that clean. and i basically quite sleeping too, the last few days, i was very anxious.

Good luck and congrats your almost done.

You could probably get the time off. How p*ssed your boss will be depends on how difficult it is to find a replacement on two hours' notice. But let me ask you this: Is this your sister's first child? Because labor can take a LOOOONG time, especially with a first child. You might work your shift and find that she still has 12 hours to go. She's not going to want you in the delivery room even if she has said otherwise before she went into labor. You'll mostly be sitting on your @ss in the waiting room. Maybe you could work your shift and then bring the rest of the family something to eat from Saladworks.

  • I never got the nesting instinct - bummer!

When i was 39 weeks, on the wednesday night about 8pm i started feeling very ill, it lasted about 2 hours, then very irregular contractions started and kept going until saturday morning when i went to hospital as they got stronger. They broke my water around midday and my son was born at 7:42 that night weighing 6lb 15oz (3146g).
