If I were in that situation, my child would never, ever go over to their house, and that man would never, ever come over to my house or be around my daughter. If my mom did want to see her grand child, she can come over when it is convenient for me so that I can be there to make sure nothing like that ever happens again.

First of all, that couldn't even be pulled off. Last year, I needed to pee in a cup for a drug test before I could begin a part-time job. The actual peeing is pretty supervised so that "knock-off" attempts are avoided. Yes, you have the privacy of the bathroom, but I had to hand in the cup before I was allowed to wash my hands. Also, the lab technicians immediately test the sample's temperature. When pee first comes out of your urethra, it's at a certain temperature. If it's anything below that, it's untestable. This is to prevent someone from sneaking in someone else's urine.

Yes, you are absolutely right to act as you did. What your mom is doing is abetting fraudulent behavior and is liable to go to jail. Secondly, the test, if it was testable, would show that it belonged to a child and not a man. Your mother and her "man" are wasting their time.

I personally do not think you have yet "overreacted" enough. What she did is absolutely not right, and it's even more heinous that she got your child, her own granddaughter, involved. Please, report her for what she's done. If her boyfriend can't pass his own drug test then he deserves to be denied employment, and she deserves to be charged with helping him try to evade a drug test. If you give the information to the proper authorities, they can take care of the rest. And since you used the female pronoun in reference to your child I assume it is your daughter. It's likely that when they test the urine they'll already know something's up when the hormones in it show up female rather than male, depending on how they do the test. Either way, when the authorities look into it, they should be able to easily determine where the urine actually came from.

I agree with you 100% and I really respect and commend you for standing up to your mother. Today, it's pee in the cup, but tomorrow it could be "take this money to that man with the gun and he'll give you a package for Grammy."

    No.

I would stick to your guns about not allowing your mother around your house and your child unless and until she is clean and making the effort to stay that way. It may be difficult for everyone involved, but in the long run, it's much better than having your daughter think that drugs are just a way of life.

Good luck to all of you!

You are NOT overreacting! In fact, you are a responsible Mom . You must be doing something right if your child trusts you and feels that he/she can come to you and tell you whatever. It may be difficult for you, but I would put a lot of distance between you and your Mother. She has obviously lost her sense of what is right and what is wrong. Your job is to protect your child.

    My Mom Peeing

You are not, I repeat NOT overreacting. I wouldn't allow her to come around my child(ren) ever again! I'm a parent of a 5 year old and a 2 year old and I totally agree with how you handled it. You go girl!

First of that was idiotic because when they test pee they can see the age of the pee. They're going to see its 5 year old pee. LOL second off I would report your mothers boyfriend to where ever he is TRYING to work because he's being ridiculous. Thirdly don't let you mom be around your kid unless you're supervising them because clearly your mother cares about the well being of her boyfriend than that of your child. That was absolutely ridiculous of her and you should have said more to her.

Wow that's pathetic. Your not overreacting at all. Basically your Mom cares more about her drug life then her life with you and your son. She's a waste and I might smack the **** out of her (if I was you) and tell her to wake up.

I would overreact to if I was in your situation you did the right thing by telling her get out. Thats your daughter she dont need to be doing that
