Thinking of getting my tongue pierced...?

I think that if it's something that you've been wanting to get done on and off for years, you should go ahead, take a chance, and get it done.

Just make absolutely sure that you do your research on the piercers you're thinking of going to, to make sure you're going to the best one. Don't want to be getting an infection in your tongue =/

And the great things about piercings is that, if you decide you don't like it after all, you can take it out and let it heal up.

The bottom line is if it makes you happy, do it.

However, it becomes a great inconvenience.

You have to ask yourself:

Does the coolness outweigh the fact that I'm going to get food in there and it's going to hurt like hell for a few weeks?

Also, keep in mind that it CAN get infected.

This can happen if it's not done properly, or if you get something stuck in it.

Infections of the tongue are bad news.

Trust me though, there are some men who will never kiss you as long as they live. Keep that in mind.

On the other hand, it aids in fellatio.

Just sayin'.

Go for it if you want, i have mine done, just eat musht food for a few days and suck on ice just afterwards. and fizzy and alcohol dont really help the healing process. neither does toast, ouch!!

you should get it done, you only live once and you have nothing to lose. Also if you do not like it then just take it out

well, are you a mother? if you are.. i would say don't do it. set a good example for your children. unless you don't mind getting them pierced and tattooed when they get older. id say make a list of reasons why you want it. and then a list of reasons of things that could cause potential problems later down the road with it.

PLease don't...They are very unattractive! You really don't want to do this...just my opinion...
