Is this a sign of a greater problem?

When I am at work it seems like I can't get anything done unless I make a list. As I do the work I have to X off what I get done. I like to see the X's. If when making the list I make a spelling error or don't make my letters just perfect, I have to throw it away and make a new list.

    not at all!

i am the same way- in order to get anything done, i need to write it down simply because i like to cross it off. i am motivated by seeing all the little X's, and there's nothing unusual about that- it's just an organizational motivator.

it improves efficiency because it gives you a goal to work towards- what's wrong with that? it's normal.

    hope this helps!

Having a list is a good thing, I do it myself. Feeling good about Xing off what you have done is good. Being obsessed about the neatness and spelling is going a bit too far. Tomorrows list... let yourself have one mistake in it. Get use to the feeling.. let it go.. and the next day, and next day.. say to yourself, "this is just a list for me to see, no one else sees it and it is not a great work of art, it is just a to do list.

I agree with the others. - You are completely normal. - I also make lists and when I see that I spell a word wrongly... Well, it does not amuse me.
