If all alone, how long could you remain sane? ?

Well you would probably go insane almost immediately, PTSD would set in after you noticed your entire species was gone.

Then depression, leading to rage, leading to hate, with noone to hate, it would internalize, causing stress induced hallucinations, thoughts, and paranoia's, leading either to suicide, or outright mental emptiness, much like a feral animal, just hunting to survive, sleeping due to exhaustion, and running around naked with claws and teeth as a weapon.

I'd imagine over time spoken language would be lost, although reading would probably continue until death, as that would be the only entertainment, unless they (or me if that was the case) knew how to run a generator, or was near a powerplant of some sort that was actually maintainable by one person..

Maybe they'd be smart enough to use hemp for food, clothing, and energy, and although they wouldn't 'bring society back' do to lack of opposite gender, atleast they would be warm, sane, and clothed with minimal effort, living a long healthy apocalyptic lifestyle, leaving them plenty of time to go insane ;)

I don't know. I think I'd go insane just from suddenly turning from a fifteen-year-old girl to a man without warning...

I would probably go a few months in denial and semi-sanity, and then just go completely insane, sit down next to a pebble and talk to it until I died from dehydration or ripping out my own throat...

well i am a women not a man.... and i probably wouldn't go insane (although i might talk to myself aloud sometimes) if i was the only living person on earth. I believe that if i watched television and, listened to music and did other things in my lifestyle that would associate me with people and the old world then i wouldn't go insane ever....i hope. =)

i would spend years looking for people, once i have traveled the world and have not found anybody,

i would take my pistol and shoot my self.

now if there were a zombie Apocalypse it would be a different story,

going out with a bang there.

im alone most of the time. havent had any friends for the past like 6yrs besides my boyfriend. i have found out ALOT about myself. i just hate being lonely all the time. havent gone insane. . . . . .yet
