What should I do next?

I've spent the last 6 years with the same company, and then was laid off after a buyout. I've been looking for a part time job in order to spend some time with my family (after 6 years of 50 hour weeks), but cannot get hired. Everyone says I'm over qualified for everything I apply for. Being a military spouse, I am eligible to go back to school, but am totally confused on where to make my next step. I'm in my 30's with 2 school aged children. Any advice???

Start with looking at what your interests are and what you would enjoy doing and go from there.

Education is always a good idea if you can afford to be out of the earning world of work for the time it takes. It's always a good idea.
