If you believe McCain to be a great American?

McCain IS a Great American by virtue of the fact that he is a highly decorated veteran who served our Country honorably & sacrificed over 5 years of his life in the horrors of a P.O.W. camp.---Having said that I don't think that any of the 3 Candidates would necessarily be a truly Great President but I do think that McCain offers infinitely more to our Country than Obama or Hillary does.--- Having been in Politics since 1982, McCain has more political experience than twice the amount that Obama & Hillary have combined. With this experience comes a wisdom & knowledge of the workings of Congress which a President needs but Obama & Hillary sorely lack.--- Perhaps the most recent evidence of the nature of some of these differences is reflected in the fact that Obama & Hillary have both proposed 110 + Billion Dollar Tax Increase Plans + universal health care plans which would plunge our economy into another Great Depression and would pander to those Democrats who often seek something for nothing. --On the other hand, McCain proposes Tax Relief NOT Tax Increases to assist in the recovery of our economy.---Lastly & extremely importantly.....many Obama & Hillary supporters fail to realize that because they have absolutely NO knowledge of the workings of our military....they are clueless as to what needs to be done in our war in Iraq & war against terrorism.----- McCain has ALL of the military background, knowledge, expertise & first-hand experience enabling him to know EXACTLY what must be done to secure & protect our Country.----- To those loonies who are incredibly foolish & insulting enough to dare to falsely accuse McCain ( who lived in a POW camp for 5+ years ) of wanting to spend 1 more minute in Iraq than is absolutely necessary-----I would ask them how they lost their minds similar to that experienced through combat fatigue when the only combat that they ever saw was on an arcade video game ??

I don't know about great American, but he certainly deserves respect for Serving in the military, and according to official facts, regardless of the McCain rumors, he was by all accounts a very brave POW. He has also served his country as a politician for years and years, often being brave enough to go against his party. That said, I don't think he's the best choice for President, then again I don't think Obama or Hillary is either.

The man is tenured so to speak. He has devoted his life to public service and served his time with dedication, honor and valor during his stays of combat
