Grand Tefth Auto 4 - WHAT is inside this game?

My teenager is begging for this game for a week now, although it is rated mature I decided to do a little research on it to see if it was appropiate, I received conflicting reviews, one site claims that the sexual stuff has to be unlocked via internet, does this mean someone can play sanz the sex? I am still concerned, what exactly is seen here other than the violence that may be objectionable?

It is a violent game yes but no more so than an 18 rated movie etc.

The games are based around doing missions for the mob or similar and also have a free element of play where you can steal cars, shoot people and get chased by the cops.

It really is a lot of fun and with the exception of the bloody nature of the game (not close up graphic gore really, more at a distance and stuff) Imagine a video game of cops and robbers that is a little more for 18's

Most of his friends will have it and over the coming months it will become more and more excessable. I don't presume to tell you what to do with your child but I would suggest let him have it and then play it in the comfort of his home rather than treking over town to find a friend with it.

Young culture is very media driven and that new game or movie is what its all about!

There really isn't any nudity, you see some cartoony chicks with their shirts off but they cover up the nipples and if they know how they can pick up a hooker, and see them hump the character but again no nudity and there is worse on cable tv. There is also drunk driving, but this is optional, if they want they can take a taxi or walk. There is some bad language but movies these days are no better. All in all, its a really fun game, if they are 15+ there is no harm in buying it for them and no reason they should miss out. The game catches a bad rap because people who write up those reviews have never actually played the game.

I mean the obvious violence aside, this game has sex, drugs, theft and so on and so forth. The sex in the game isn't really sex....the girl will just invite you in and it will go to a cut sceen where its outside the house and the girl is just moaning......also you can go to a strip club and get a lap dance....but it doesn't show really anything beside movement....Also as far as drugs...you do work with a rasta guy who is always smoking a joint...but it just looks like a cigarette! and a boss leader will do the occasional line of coke haha! But i mean overall its an incredibly awesome game! and the whole sex thing online was just a rumor...that was in GTA: San Adreas!

but this game is pretty much is like playing through a rated R movie

    Source(s): I have the game =)

The sex does not have to be unlocked. It's already in there. But it's not graphic....you don't see anything. There is a strip club in the game.....but the clothes stay on. It's nothing worse that what you'd see in an episode of CSI. I'd say if he's older than 14 it's okay. Much worse on television.

My brother has the game, it has alot of swear words, guns, beating the crap out of people, blowing their heads off, stealing cars. I ask my brother if it had sexual stuff and he said yes i guess you can go to strip clubs and pick up hookers on the side of the road.
